The Grantsville Community Action Group was started by citizens for
citizens. It is not a city entity, nor does it have any agenda. Its sole
purpose is to inform Grantsville residents of events that will impact the
lives of each of us. We feel many people care about the community and
the want to improve it, but know very little about decisions that are being
made, or have the time to go to all the meetings and gather information,
let alone what to do with it!
In addition, it’s hard to know what one individual can do to make a difference!
Through the Grantsville Community Action Group, you can become well informed of City Council meetings, Planning and Zoning meetings, School District meetings, local events, and so on, as well as information and ideas about who to contact and what you as an individual can do about a concern. Creating accountability to leaders making the decisions of what to do with our tax dollars will help turn things around. Many residents have great ideas to share or see a concern we all need to know about. We can get groups together that have the same goals, whether it’s to improve our parks, clean up unsightly areas of our city, improve sidewalks and trails, deal with safety of our children, . . . the possibilities are endless!
